This intermediate class focuses on creating a structured oval basket with vertical sides and an optional side cut-out—ideal for keeping charging cords in place. Without the cut-out, it also works well as a remote holder, desk organizer, or small bread basket. The project builds on earlier skills and introduces how to manage a larger coil while shaping a clean, symmetrical oval form. Students will learn how to: Shape and control an oval base (key focus), build vertical walls on a non-round form, plan and sew an optional side cut-out, join rope ends mid project for a clean, polished finish. Styles will include one of the following: classic natural rope, decorative stitching, or two-color rope combination. A variety of finishing details will be presented.
